MUSHROOMHEAD's JEFFREY NOTHING And WAYLON REAVIS Make Acting Debut In '13th Sign'

September 12, 2011

MUSHROOMHEAD's Jeffrey Nothing and Waylon Reavis will make their feature-film debut in the upcoming horror movie "13th Sign", which was directed by Michael Bryant. The film is scheduled for a fall 2011 release.

"Working on the '13th Sign' was a great experience and a chance to collaborate with some truly amazing people," said Nothing. "We got the offer through a friend of Waylon's wife's family and it sounded like a lot of fun. We went to a Detroit suburb for two weeks in the dead of winter to film and then we wrapped things up this spring. We both got to play monsters and judging by the genuine fear and nightmares that followed, I guess our acting debut was a huge success. It felt great to be able to try something new and excel at it. Hopefully the movie going public agrees, but I had a great time being my character and slaughtering the innocent. The best part is my song is being featured in the film. Nothing's 'Deathbed Masquerade' will be all over '13th Sign', sort of like a long form music video. I can't wait for everyone to witness the carnage!"

A trailer for the film can be seen below.

Jeffrey Nothing will release his debut solo album, "The New Psychodalia", on October 11 through Suburban Noize Records. Mixing hypnotic rhythmic grooves and punishing riffs, along with Jeffrey Nothing's beautifully deranged lyrics, "The New Psychodalia" is a tormented soundscape that shakes listeners to the core.
